We had a car from Salzburg, and it took about 80 minutes to drive to Kitzbühel. We went there for skiing and we were not disappointed. The ski lift is about a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. The town itself is lovely, old buildings coupled with modern shopping. There's plenty of choices for restaurants and bars. We mainly ate at our restaurant, but there are other places to eat. It's a nice place to walk around, although some of the roads do not have footpaths. We would definitely come here again.

A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December.
A pretty town with a Christmas market from 1 December. It seemed like we were a bit pre season so some shops/bars/cafes not open yet.
Easy to navigate and hilly as you’d expect and get to by train from Innsbruk. Locals all very good English speaking and English menus - puts us to shame. Food at the top of cable car was good,

Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas.
Kitzbühel - yes, there are better ski areas. Yes, I believe there are better resorts for apres-ski but as an all round, friendly, traditional, fun resort there is no better. Over 80 experiences of the town in summer and winter has given me a bit of a head start on first timers - you will not be disappointed.

While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-...
While this town is best known for alpine skiing (the world-famous Hahnenkammrennen downhill takes place here) it is equally awesome in the summer! The town is alive and has myriad activities to do, from hiking to cycling to simply hanging out at local restaurants, bars, and clubs. The cable car system can take you anywhere, and one of the best activities is to hike down the famous Streif alpine racing course (i.e. the Hahnenkamm), which takes about 2.5-3 hours. If you have time take a lunch break during the hike at the Seidelalm Hutte, where the food and drink are plentiful and the views perfect. In town there are many fabulous places to eat, drink, and shop. If you want the full Hahnenkamm experience make a late-night stop at The Londoner Pub, where the winner of the downhill ski race tends bar the evening after their victory (it's a lot less raucous in the summer but it's still a great place to go for a beer). The entire town is walkable - no car necessary - and frequent ÖBB train service makes this place accessible from major cities (e.g. Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich).

The ski resort is perfect for skiers.
The ski resort is perfect for skiers. However, I'm a snowboarder and have been in ones that are better. The snowparks are very small and on the side the mountains that have much less slopes. To cross to the bigger area you need to cross the river and town (about 15min walk).
Hotel is really amazing, front hotel design, the interior inside the hotel keeps the history of city, Austria itself as well as wall decoration.
Room was big, we were family of 3 person and there were quite a lot space.
Balcony view is on the mountains, that’s indeed great, every morning you can start looking to the mountains beauty.
City center is so close, I think less then 5 min.
Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful.
Ski storage is easy to rech via lift
Highly recommend this hotel and wish to return next year
The staff was excellent from the time we arrived until we departed. Dinner was very good and the daily breakfast was good as well. Very short walk down into the town center, and ideally located near the lift. Just beware that the air conditioner in the newer rooms doesn't work too well and if you're located on the west side of the hotel your room will be incredibly warm in the afternoon. It was too warm for us to sit out on the balcony. Thankfully they provided a fan which helped a bit at night.
Nice check-in by front-desk staff.
Room was excellent. A very good size with an equally well-sized bathroom.
Hotel has a nice vibe, layout is well done with restaurant tables nicely spaced. Decor is very agreeable.
Walking distance to city centre is very doable. In winter one is right next the Hahnekamm lift.
And again a nice check-out done by front-desk staff...
Not going to happen, but bet the hotel is vey nice for a winter ski-vacation.
My husband and I stay for few days with our dog. I must say that this the best hotel that we have ever been.
Interior, room, stuff, location… Everting.
They even give us in our room for our dog a bed, snack and water container.
Hotel is soo worm and luxury, spa pool lobby and rooms are amazing. You have peace in resort and all around restort and you are in center for 2 minutes.
Will be back again for sure!
The hotel was on of the best hotels we stayed in. Fabulous location, even though outside the centre of Kitz there is a hotel shuttle every 30 min or you can take a nice walk down, less than 20 min.
Very nice bar and restaurant, delicious food. The pool is unbelievable and water temperature aslo pleasant. There is a kids play room too which is also very good with lots of choice for kids.
Too hotel
This is an exceptional hotel. I have never rated anywhere 10 for every category before. Hotel Resch deserves everyone of them. Staff are outstanding, housekeeping is absolutely top drawer, Breakfast service would put many 5 star establishments to shame. Best of all everyone has a smile, Thank you for an outstanding stay.
Great hotel all around. Superb spa and pool area, quiet saunas and enjoyable pool with very good water - no itchy eyes, even for our little one. Hearty breakfast, great service. Do go for the half-pension, the dinners are a treat and great value for money. Service is personal and friendly, very much appreciated.
This hotel is a special diamond in the heat of the Austrian Alps. There are so many things to like I cannot list them all; the food was exceptional at all hours of the day, and the options for activities around the lake and at the spa were great respite after big ski days. I will 100% come back again.
We only stayed there for single night. We arrived 1 day earlier than our scheduled arrival date. The hotel offers free breakfast and car parking. The location is roughly 5-10 minutes walking to ski lift and market area. The owner gave us 20% voucher on ski equipment rental.
I liked the fact that it's obviously a family business and Gabriella is running the whole place by herself, cooking, cleaning, answering requests, everything.
She is taking care of her guests in the best Austrian way.
Recently renovated.
Friendly, well located with a personal rather than big hotel feel. The family were very welcoming and helpful and went the extra mile. Close to the town centre but you still felt in the countryside.
Amazing hotel in amazing Kitzbühel. We loved the food and the facilities (sauna and the pool). The staff was super friendly and helpful with tips what to see in Kitzbühel and around.
Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff couldn’t be more lovely or helpful. The breakfast was exceptional, and the rooms were beautiful. Would come back here, 100%
Overall beautiful hotel.
Wellness areas is quite breathtaking.
Dining and lounge area looks great with the refurbishment,
Dinner (half board) was top quality food.
Charming older hotel near old town Kitzbuhel with affordable rooms. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts and breads.
Everyone was so unbelievably friendly…it couldn’t have been better. The location is by far the best in Kitz and the restaurant is awesome too! Fantastic!
